Founded in 1964 shortly after Malawi gained independence, the University of Malawi is the country’s oldest higher education institution. Accredited by the National Council of Higher Education (NCHE) and initially comprising four constituent colleges, it was restructured in 2019. This restructuring resulted in the creation of three separate universities from the previously linked colleges. Chancellor College retained the prestigious name of the University of Malawi in this transformation.

Astria Learning, a leading ed-tech company, operates globally, aiding corporations and academic institutions in delivering and managing fully online programs. Their services extend to full-scale implementation and hosting of enterprise-level academic systems. Recently, they expanded their reach by opening a new office in Malawi, furthering their commitment to enhancing digital education worldwide.
